Total Abortion

  • "I might inform those humanitarians who have a nightmare of new and needless babies (for some humanitarians have that sort of horror of humanity) that if the recent decline in the birth-rate were continued for a certain time, it might end in there being no babies at all; which would console them very much." (ILN 5-24-30)

When newborn babies are aborted the future tax base decreases. If you calculate the number of abortions attributed to Roe vs Wade since its passage, multiplied by the potential tax dollars lost, the dollar amount is staggering.

What's the implication then? That women should birth babies in order to broaden the tax base? What then of women with special circumstances? They should not have a right to choose to have their children, rather they should be governed to have their babies so as to broaden a tax base? I can't imagine a potential tax base as a justifiable reason to control women's fertility through government. I would never vote for such a referendum/bill/what-have-you.

That's my 2 cents :-)

Maternal instincts normally give rise to great moments of sacrifice. Mothers will risk everything/anything to save their offspring in most species. It would be nice if the human race could/would join them.
